Tire changes

What's the easiest way to get my tires changed?

Updated ยท 2 min read

Short answer

The easiest way is to not go anywhere. We send tire changers to your home, office or curb with everything a shop has, so an on-rim swap is about 30 minutes in your own driveway for $79.95. It is an easy tire solution: book online, leave the keys and tires out, and get on with your day.

An easy tire change, without the shop

Getting tires changed used to mean loading four wheels into the car, booking a slot at a shop, and sitting in a waiting room for an hour or more. In the busy weeks of the season it often meant waiting days just to get in.

We built On The Go to be an easy tire solution instead. You pick a time online, and we send tire changers to your home with everything a shop has in the back of the truck. Your car never leaves the driveway.

Why it is easier

  • No driving. The tire changers come to you: your home, your office parking lot or the curb outside.
  • No waiting room. Most on-rim swaps take about 30 minutes. You don't even need to be home, as long as the car, keys and tires are accessible.
  • No lifting. Your technician carries the wheels, swaps them and puts the off-season set wherever you want it.
  • Nowhere to keep the tires? Add seasonal storage and we take them away and bring them back next season.
  • Need new tires? We source them with free delivery and install them on the same visit.

What our tire changers do on every visit

Every visit includes more than the swap:

  1. Each lug nut torqued to your vehicle's spec with a torque wrench
  2. A tire rotation
  3. A tire pressure check
  4. A visual safety inspection of every tire

Who it suits

Busy parents, people working from home, condo owners with no garage, anyone without a way to move four wheels, and anyone who would rather not spend a Saturday at a tire shop. If you want an easy tire change this season, book a time and we will take it from there.

Common follow-up questions

Do your tire changers bring their own equipment?

Yes. Every truck carries jacks, an impact wrench, a calibrated torque wrench and, for off-rim jobs, a tire machine and a wheel balancer. All you provide is the car, the keys and your other set of tires.

Is it more expensive than a shop?

An on-rim swap is $79.95 and an off-rim change with mounting and balancing is $199.95, both including torque, rotation, a pressure check and a visual inspection. Once you count the drive, the wait and the time off work, most customers find it the cheaper option.

Where do your tire changers go?

Ottawa and the surrounding area, including Kanata, Barrhaven, Orleans, Nepean and Stittsville, the Greater Toronto Area, and Collingwood and Wasaga Beach.
