About Stittsville
Stittsville traces its roots to the early 1820s, when Irish and English settlers established a crossroads village in what's now Ottawa's west end. That heritage is still visible along its Main Street, even as the surrounding area has grown into a full suburban community bordering Kanata, together the two areas reached 137,053 residents at the 2021 census.
Hazeldean Mall, shared with neighbouring Kanata, serves as the area's main retail hub. We also cover the small village of Richmond just to the southwest as part of the same route.
